Hero Name: Slice

Real Name: Raghnall Livingstone

Powers (as displayed up to this point of the story): Strength, Speed, Flight, Immortality.

Raghnall was young man in the living his life out in Scotland in the early 1100’s. A letter he received form his cousin living in Turkey asked Raghnall to come to him and help him with his business.

Raghnall set out to work for his cousin but a slice of fate stopped those plans. On his way there he was drawn into the forest by a very bright light. On further examination he found a man who gave him a great gift, the Chester Diamond.

This Diamond gave Raghnall great powers, powers he didn’t fully understand until he was found by Ale the seeker from Gambury (see Gambury).

A Slice of Fate is the story of Slices journey from an everyday man of Scotland to a god for a whole other world.

Name: Ale the seeker

Powers: Nothing up to this point. But he seems like a happy fella!

Ale was born in a mug of beer, brought to life by one of the wizards of The Chester Guild. It was Ales job to search for Slice here on earth. Eventually he found Slice and brought him to Gambury, Ales home world.

Ale turns into Slices teacher and friend showing Slice everything he is capable of.

Even though Ales only job was to find Slice he becomes single handedly the most important person in Slices life.

Name: Dr. Reed Amiel

Powers: cyber-implant and Prosthetic specialist

Dr. Amiel is a cyber-implant and Prosthetic specialist who was brought aboard the Doyle II to aid Dr. Meggetto in her rehabilitation of Slice in the year 3523.

Name: Dr. Corinna Meggetto

Dr. Meggetto is the chief medical professional on the Doyle II. She is the point

of first contact in the event anything goes wrong with any patient including Slice.

She is very happy to have Dr. Amiel on board assisting with Slices recovery.

Name: Adam

Hero Name:  uhm…Adam. And the jury is still out on whether or not he’s a “hero”.

Powers (as displayed up to this point of the story): High tolerance for pain. Has a visual power that helps indicate what his enemies are ghost, goblin, demon, etc…

Not much is known yet about Adams past. But, it seems that he fights against ghost and goblins and usually using guns. He has indicated that he sees an aura that surrounds his enemies and that these help him to figure out who or what his enemies are.

Name: Unknown

Powers (as displayed up to this point of the story): Strength, Energy blasting power

Nothing much is known about this lady at this time. She seems very pissed at Slice for something and seems to not want to stop until she has defeated him.

I think more with this young lass is yet to come.

Gambury is the world where the Chester Diamond, Ale and all of Slices worries come from. Gambury is a world full of magic, wonder and tragedy.

In essence Gambury is divided up by two Monarchies. They have been embroiled in a feud for over 10,000 years over who should have complete control over their world.

Finally in a bid for peace the grand Wizard Chester made a diamond that he said would release a terrific monster so strong that it could wipe out the armies of both Empires. This worked for a short time.

For about fifties years the two sides didn’t have one battle until King Ony Tibbus IV of the Ire-Ata empire had a great idea. If he were to have the diamond, then he would be the most powerful and could take Gambury for himself.

But, before he could act Emperor Clainesta of the Celaxury Empire caught wind of Tibbus’ plan and sent an army to his boarders to stop him while he also sent a an army to the Chester guilds castle to claim the diamond himself.

It didn’t take the aging wizard long to figure out what the two sides where up to, so he enchanted the diamond with a spell that gave the owner of the diamond great power. The honored and chosen one would defend the Diamond at all costs.

In Gamburys language “Honored One” is pronounced “Slice”.
